California ranks No. 1 in cryptocurrency readiness in the U.S.

Industry research company Crypto Head said California has recently trumped all of its U.S. state competitors when it comes to cryptocurrency readiness. 

Crypto Head said that the state is already equipped with sufficient systems and infrastructure to facilitate cryptocurrency transactions. 

California received a score of 5.72 out of 10, New Jersey (5.44), Texas (5.28), Florida (5.03), and New York (4.29). Another important thing to highlight here is that California’s point total was also 2.54 points higher than the national average. 

Criteria for judging

The research company has narrowed down on the most important criteria that would determine a state’s crypto readiness.

These criteria include the number of Bitcoin ATMs in a state, the quantity of blockchain-related bills, and crypto-related Google searches. California secured the top spot when it comes to the number of Bitcoin ATMs and crypto-related searches. 

Crypto Head said that in the case of New York, even though it has already passed eight crypto bills, it lags behind in crypto ATM installations. The Big Apple ranked 33rd in this area. 

New Jersey has the highest number of crypto ATM installations per 10,000 square miles and ranked 3rd for crypto-related Google searches. Texas and Florida have also fared well in the area of ATM installations and crypto searches. 

Positive sign

The United States has been experiencing uncertainty in crypto regulations. Its infrastructure bill is also expected to make a big (and undesirable) impact on its crypto industry. 

But even with these headaches, it cannot be denied that the U.S. remains to be the leading nation when it comes to cryptocurrency adoption. 

In fact, it has exceeded the combined crypto volume trade of Europe, Nigeria, and China, which is a clear sign that the U.S. would soon play a massive role in the global crypto industry.
