The Call of Duty League announced the maps and modes for the 2024 season getting fans excited for the new season.

As it has been, Hardpoint, Control and Search and Destroy will make up the three modes. For the start of the season, players will only be playing Modern Warfare 3 maps. Those maps are made up of remastered MW2 (2009) maps. There have been instances in the past where the CDL has added downloadable content maps, but for now the map pool will be made up of six maps.

Here’s the full list of map and mode combinations for the start of the 2024 season:

Hardpoint

Search and Destroy

Control

The maps, albeit filled with nostalgia, haven’t necessarily lent themselves to updated Call of Duty respawn modes since launch. Players have openly complained about the spawn system, especially on maps like Terminal and Highrise. It’ll be interesting to see what adjustments are made to increase the game’s playability, especially in a competitive setting.

As well, we know that maps from last year are going to get added to MW3. Mercado Las Almas and Farm 18 are the first two old maps to get added. Mercado was a competitive map this year, so it’s possible it gets added at some point. Or, the CDL and Activision opt to avoid adding old maps so the focus is on the current game cycle.
