Ever since details dropped in August of this year, we were stoked to see what players would make of The Gap, from Label This and Crunching Koalas. With the game finally available to play on Xbox, PlayStation and PC, it’s time to get stuck into the latest psychological thriller to hit the shelves.

Layers of Mystery

Working as Joshua Hayes – a brilliant neuroscientist who is hindered by a rare genetic disorder that slowly removes memories – your task is to find a cure to your familial sickness before it claims the lives of those you love.

Biotech giant Neuraxis is helping out with an experimental program to take part in. But as with every biotech giant in games, you’d be silly to trust Neuraxis from the off. Available now on Xbox, PlayStation and PC platforms, The Gap provides a brand-new first-person psychological experience to enjoy.

Can you figure out what is real and what is fake? Indeed, is anything you see to be trusted and taken on face value? When coping with a neurodegenerative illness such as Joshua’s, perhaps the greatest threat is your mind itself…

Now Available!

The Gap can now be played on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4 and PC. Check it out for £16.99 via the Xbox Store. And look out for our full review of The Gap on Xbox, coming soon!

Until then, get into the comments and let us know how excited you are to take in The Gap. The trailer below shows it off well, no?

Game Description

The Gap tells the difficult story of one man’s struggle to find a cure for his family’s sickness by diving ever deeper into his own psyche and through the exploration of the memories dear to his heart

Joshua Hayes is a neuroscientist, whose family is touched by a rare genetic disorder that slowly eats away at one’s memories, dissolving the person’s sanity and personality. The struggle and fight of the family is witnessed through the lens of memories of their highest and lowest moments.

Being part of an experimental program to cure the disease, led by a biotech giant – Neuraxis, Joshua finds himself entangled in a corporate intrigue. While exploring the raw, minimalist spaces, he comes across items that act as gateways to his past.

In hopes of untangling the web of memories, he’ll need to face a distressing question – can he really trust himself?
