The LCS All-Pro Awards for the Summer Split 2023 have been unveiled
With the regular season behind us and LCS Playoffs primed to start later this week, we are officially getting into the award season. Every split, LCS hands out awards to recognize the brilliance and performances of its top players and coaching staff. As always, the first award category to be revealed is the LCS All-Pro Teams.
The All-Pro contest was also closer than usual due to the close competition at the top of the table and no apparent frontrunners, but in the end, no player from a team outside of the top four found an All-Pro spot. The top two teams, Cloud9 and Golden Guardians, dominated the award with all ten of their players rewarded for their season. Three Team Liquid and two Evil Geniuses players rounded out the remaining spots in the three teams.
Among all 15 players, the MVP frontrunner Joseph Joon “jojopyun” Pyun was the player with the highest total of points—and first-place votes. The closest race for a position was for jungle and top lane. Only eight points made the difference for the 1st and 2nd All-Pro jungle positions, while the 1st LCS All-Pro top laner Licorice was nine points ahead of his closest competition.
