CMC Markets’ Group CFO Euan Marshall Resigns

The Group Chief Financial Officer at CMC Markets (LON: CMCX), Euan Marshall, has resigned and will leave the company in January 2024. He will step down as a director of the London-listed company and take up the role of CFO at IntegraFin Holdings.

CMC highlighted that it will start to look for Marshall’s replacement shortly. Over the next six months at CMC, Marshall will focus on an effective and orderly handover of his responsibilities.

Marshall has been the CFO at CMC for about the past four years. Before that, he held the role briefly for four months. He joined CMC in November 2011, according to his Linkedin profile, and will part from the company after more than 12 years.

New VP for N26’s European
Operations

Andrea
Isola, previously the General Manager for Italy & South East Europe at N26,
has been named the new Vice President of European Markets and Business
Operations at N26. In his new role, Isola will supervise the bank’s European
markets, Business Operations, Strategic Project Management, and Sourcing
functions. He aims for sustainable growth in N26’s core European markets.

Isola will
report to Maximilian Tayenthal, the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer at N26, while also temporarily holding the position of General Manager for Italy
and South-East Europe. He plans to streamline organizational processes to
enhance alignment and strengthen operational capabilities.

AEGIS SEF Appoints New President

AEGIS SEF announced the appointment of Chris Payne as the new President, replacing Justin McCrann. It came as an internal promotion as Payne previously was the Chief Product Officer for AEGIS Hedging Solutions, the parent of AEGIS SEF.

“Recent volume records indicate material adoption of the platform,” Payne said in a statement. “We are eager to help our Participants sustain that growth by leveraging modernized electronic trading in a way that benefits everyone in these markets. Moneycorp
Names Velizar Tarashev as Group CEO

Moneycorp
has tapped Velizar Tarashev, its Chief Financial Officer, to take over leadership of the cross-border payments business from Mark Horgan who is stepping down as Chief Executive
Officer after 12 years in the role. The London-based company announced
Tarashev’s appointment as the Group’s CEO today (Wednesday) in a statement.

Moneycorp
in the statement noted that Horgan will remain with the company as the Deputy
Chairman of its Board. He is expected to take on the role in early
2024. On the other hand, the firm tasked Tarashev, who joined in 2021 Moneycorp after over a decade
at Barclays, with leading the company into its next
phase of growth.

“Velizar is
an established leader with an impressive track record of delivery,” Alan
Bowkett, the Chairman of Moneycorp, said in the statement. “Since joining the
Group, Velizar has been instrumental in the development and implementation of
Moneycorp’s strategy, business model and culture, making him the perfect
candidate to take the Group forward.”

Nasdaq Unveils Its Board of Directors for US Exchanges

Nasdaq has
published the name of the individuals elected to the Board of Directors for the US-based exchanges operated by the company.

Those elected are Kathlyn Beckles, the Chief Legal Officer, Verisk Analytics, Inc., Tal
Cohen, the President of Markets Platforms, Nasdaq, Inc., and Michael Curran, a retired Chairman, and the CEO of Boston Stock Exchange.

The others are
Anne Darling from Goldman Sachs, David Frear, the former CFO of SiriusXM, Thomas Kloet from TMX, Anita Lynch the former Chief Data Officer of New Relic, David Rosato from Berkshire

Artem Seledtsov,
the Chief Business Development Officer at Exness, has announced the expansion
of his role to include the position of Chief Sales Officer. With the dual

Former CFO at LSE Heads LME
Clearing

The London
Metal Exchange’s (LME) clearing house has appointed David Warren, the former CFO of the
London Stock Exchange, as its Chairman, effective 20 July 2023.

The
appointment was made as LME wrestles with a lawsuit and a drop in nickel trading
volumes. It follows an incident in March 2022 that saw nickel prices double
within hours, resulting in a billion-dollar trade cancellation.

Marex Names New Group Chief Operating Officer

Marex has announced the appointment of Graham Francis as the Group’s Chief Operating Officer. He will oversee the company’s day-to-day operations and report to Marex’s CEO, Ian Lowitt.

Graham joined Marex from TP ICAP, where he was most recently the COO for the Global Broking business. Overall, he spent 15 years at TP ICAP. He also worked at Dresdner Bank, Lehman Brothers, and Linklaters.

Nicolas
Shamtanis, the former Chief Executive Officer BDSwiss, has
returned to professional life after a short sabbatical leave of just six-month. Shamtanis
announced his return today (Tuesday) on LinkedIn. He mentioned that he started
running both ‘broker-as-a-service’
provider, Netrois, and payment and compliance solutions provider, Red Acre, as the Chief Executive Officer since April.

BDSwss appointed
Shamtanis as its CEO in March last year, tasking him with leading its
global presence and expansion plans. The executive joined the financial and
investment services provider in September 2021 as the Deputy CEO.

The global
fintech provider, XS.com has announced the appointment of industry veteran Shadi

company after six and a half years at its rival brokerage, Axi where he last
served as the Head of Robotic Process Automation.

The senior
executive announced his appointment through LinkedIn today (Monday). He brings about 10 years
of experience in accounting, sales and development roles,
to the job. Apart from Axi, Daoud has worked at Royal Financials, Alfa
Financials and Brooge Forex Brokers.

Meanwhile,
GTC, which is regulated by Vanuatu Financial Services Commission, recently onboarded Jameel Ahmad as the Chief Analyst and
Advisor to the CEO.

HYCM Hires
Axiory’s Dominic Poynter as Chief Marketing Officer

HYCM, the
London-based forex and contracts for difference (CFD) broker that recently rebranded from Henyep
UK
, has
appointed Dominic Poynter as its Chief Marketing Officer. Poynter was
previously the Marketing Director at a multi-asset broker Axiory for two years.

The
senior executive announced his appointment at HYCM on Monday through a LinkedIn
post. His profile on the professional networking platform shows he started the
Cyprus-based role last month.

Poynter
joined the retail forex and CFD industry in 2010 as a Website Manager at FxPro
Financial Services. Since then, he has served in senior marketing roles at

Binance Taps Min Lint to Head Latin America

The cryptocurrency exchange, Binance has appointed
Min Lin to head its operations in the Latin American region. Lin will be in
charge of leading teams with a focus on optimizing the products and services of
the exchange.

He joined Binance in 2021 as the Head of Business
Development and previously worked as an Executive Director, Global Markets
Division, at Goldman Sachs. His appointment comes at a time Binance is expanding its educational partnerships and

The retail
trading company XS.com announced yesterday (Sunday) that it has onboarded Joanna
Atwi as a new Business Development Manager for the MENA region.

“I’m

In the past,
Atwi worked for ICM.com, where she spent more than five years. Firstly, as
