The update includes new maps, new equipment and new game modes as well. Let’s talk about each addition in detail below:

New Maps –  Checkpoint & Grime

The developers plan to add two new maps to the game with this update. They are Checkpoint and Grime. Both of them will be 6v6 Core maps. Both maps intend to bring a fresh feel to the fast-paced action-filled fights we CoD for.

Checkpoint: This is a new map based on the Eastern side of Rebirth Island from Warzone, specifically Stronghold. The map will be compact and designed for quick close-quarter engagements. The map includes a locker room, garage and armory within this military comms outpost. The entire map is scattered with obstacles like crates, building supplies and vehicles. It is important to note that the map will be focused on the ground floor as the rest of the levels will be sealed. This will definitely intensify the action during matches.

Grime: This one will be a completely new map designed for 6v6 core gameplay. The map is set in London, specifically a more rustic urban setting. The medium-sized battleground will have a small canal and numerous abandoned buildings. The walls will be covered in graffiti adding to the rustic vibe of the map. The entire map will be littered with obstacles that can be used tactically for cover and other purposes.

New Game Modes – Escort & Minefield

The Season 3 Reloaded update will bring two game modes that are a mix of fun and competitive. One thing that we can say for sure, is that things can get pretty intense while playing these modes. The developers definitely put in time for these modes considering how creative and insistent they are.

Escort: The second mode that will be added in the Season 3 Reloaded update is Escort. Both teams will have unlimited respawns but different objectives. One team will be tasked with protecting a car as it traverses the map. The other team will be tasked to disable the car. After the first round, the sides will swap and the team that was defending the car will now try to stop it. Whichever team accomplishes their objective with the fastest time will win.

Minefield: This will be a brand new game mode for multiplayer where players drop a Proximity Mine on their corpses when killed. These mines cannot be picked up and only affect the enemy teams. Your allies will have no effect on the mine’s explosion if triggered within its range. One can only imagine how chaotic and intense this mode can turn out to be. Players fiercely battling on a map filled with mines, each step can turn out to be fatal.

New Equipment – EMD Mine & EVG

The game will also have two new pieces of equipment that players can use in their fights. These are the EMD Mine and the Enhanced Vision Googles. Both can affect the fight uniquely and turn out to be useful in various situations. They can give players an edge in battle tactically, so they are most definitely worth taking a look at.

EMD Mine: The EMD Mine is a tactical equipment mine that gets triggered if an enemy gets within its proximity. The mine can be placed on any surface at it can even stick on walls and ceilings. After being activated, a tracking device gets attached to the target and will reveal their location and direction to you. However, it can be removed and if it is then the feed will stop.

Enhanced Vision Goggles: The EVGs are a new Field Upgrade that allows you to toggle between their normal vision and an enhanced vision that highlights your enemies. This makes them easier to spot and gives you vital information on their movement and positioning, giving you an edge in the fight. However, it is important to remember that the EVGs will run as long as your batteries are active and charged.

New Weapons – BAL-27

So far, we’ve only come to know about one weapon set to be added to the game during the Season 3 Reloaded update. That weapon is the BAL-27, which is an assault rifle with a high fire rate.
