The organization had previously announced their plans of building a new roster at the start of June, following the transfer of Nico “nicoodoz” Tamjidi and Fredrik “roeJ” Jørgensen to fnatic.

The roster, nicknamed “Flames 3.0,” marks yet another rebuild for the Danish organization, which has sold more than 15 players during the past 2 years. The two elder statesmen of the lineup, birdfromsky and raalz, join after fulfilling the IGL role in ECSTATIC and Sprout, respectively, with raalz now transitioning to the role of secondary caller on this lineup.

They will be accompanied by the ex-MAD Lions duo of TMB and b0RUP, who will be taking over rifling duties in the squad, while regali will be donning the “Big Green” after his transfer from fnatic Rising.

“Our goal is to retain our players for even longer periods of time to take advantage of our new resources and setup, which in turn will solidify our status among the best CS:GO clubs and to achieve even more,” said Steffen Thomsen, CEO of the organization, while also touching on the change of approach: “Going forward our CS:GO division will add staff to areas like performance, data, health, science, and tech.”

Talking about the reputation of the organization as a feeder team, the CEO added: “We know our place in the CS:GO ecosystem and attractive players will be sold, but we want to reach a point where we can turn down offers and have players wanting to stay longer. “

“This is a brand new project with new players and new staff members which means that we start from scratch.”, said Philip “tekziNz” Karsbøl, Head of Esports in a statement. “Even though we know that this is a process that takes time, we aim to break into the top 30 of the HLTV world ranking as soon as possible through hard work and dedication.”
