The Dallas Fuel took an interesting gamble this offseason by allowing their entire roster explore free agency. The 2022 champions had the option to pursue the best offers from around the league. While a few players did move on to new pastures, the core of the Fuel have decided to stick around. On New Year’s Day, the Dallas Fuel announced the return of Han-been “Hanbin” Choi, Yeong-han “SP9RK1E” Kim and Tae-hoon “Edison” Kim.

The three players decided to stick with Dallas after testing the waters in free agency. The Dallas Fuel took home the 2022 Grand Finals trophy thanks to the performances of Edison, Sp9rk1e and Hanbin. Hanbin excelled in 2022, with both players earning a Role Star award at the end of the year. While Edison and Sp9rk1e just missed out on earning any accolades last season, they were undoubtedly key pieces for the Dallas Fuel. Their consistent play helped keep Dallas at the top of the standings throughout 2022.

With a reshaped Dallas Fuel roster, the three veterans hope to bring a few more trophies home. Hanbin, Sp9rk1e and Edison join forces with their new support line of So-myung “Bliss” Kim and Jeong-ho “MCD” Lee.

The Dallas Fuel currently have five players on the roster, and will need to sign at least one more player before the season starts. Teams need to have at least six players on the active roster during the Overwatch League season. Fuel fans will be waiting patiently to hear about the newest member of the Dallas Overwtch org.
