Dolce & Gabbana will launch the new NFT Wearable Genesis collection later this year and you can register your interest In the collection right now as well a few designers were already getting in on it. D&G partnered with the digital marketplace UNXD to launch a collection of the NFT wearables called “Collezione Genesi” as the luxury Milanese fashion house called the upcoming collection “Alta Moda” and posted a new link to view a promotional trailer that shows the concept clearly.

The prospective buyers can reserve their place in a queue for the launch via a mailing list form and those that sign up are promised early access to NFT if they invite their friends. The Genesis collection will be promoted at a D&G upcoming Alta Moda, Alta Sartoria, and Alta Gioilleria show in Venice according to Vogue, saying that the collection was inspired by the city. The fashion house is not the first one to get in on the NFT space with augmented reality wearables. Lost month Gucci sold his first NFT through Christie’s for a price of $25,000 making it one of the most expensive items that were sold by the fashion brand.

Gucci’s Aria NFT was not wearable though and it was a three-channel video inspired by the fashion house’s Fall/winter 2020 collection and the NFT marked its 100^th anniversary of the Italian company. The Fashion designers also started moving in on the digital world through video games and in 2019 Louis Vuitton teamed up with developer Riot Games to launch a League of Legends collection. British designer Burberry provided exclusive NFT for its Mythical Games’ sandbox multiplayer game Blankos Block Party a month ago. Blankos Block Party is a PC game where the players control your NFT characters dubbed Blankos that they can collect, sell or upgrade. With NFTs commanding top prices at auction, it is no wonder that the NFT world of wearables is starting to attract other top designers.
