As Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5 Reloaded unfolds, a forgotten AR could overtake the Cronen Squall as the best long-range option in the current meta.

The Warzone Season 5 Reloaded patch notes introduced a handful of buffs and nerfs to long-range weapons to offer players more options in Resurgence and Battle Royale. For the past few months, the Cronen Squall has dominated Warzone, even after it received a slight nerf in Warzone Season 5.

In the hopes of adding “further viability into the long-range engagement space,” Activision handed out another round of nerfs to the popular Battle Rifle in Warzone Season 5 Reloaded. The Cronen Squall’s head, neck, upper torso, lower torso, and limb damage multipliers were all decreased, opening up the meta for a new weapon to emerge.

An unexpected AR has risen through the ranks and is now first in line to replace the Cronen Squall in Warzone Season 5 Reloaded.

The Cronen Squall is on the verge of being dethroned in the Warzone Season 5 Reloaded meta by the M13B Assault Rifle. While the Cronen Squall got nerfed, the M13B got buffed; all location damage multipliers for the M13B were increased.

As a result of the weapon changes, more and more players have noticed the M13B’s fast TTK in Warzone. Warzone content creator, Isaac “IceManIsaac” Hamilton, highlighted the M13B in his new YouTube video as he explores damage comparisons with the best weapons in Warzone.

IceManIsaac exclaims, “The M13B is killing faster than the Cronen and the SAKIN!” He continues, “We haven’t seen an M13 meta putting out numbers like that ever.”

The fast TTK of the M13B makes the weapon a “sleeper” that will find its way into the mainstream meta soon enough. The once unpopular, weak gun now has a higher damage profile than the go-to long-range weapons in Warzone.

Here’s the best M13B loadout in Warzone Season 5 Reloaded, per IceManIssac:
