ESTNN recaps the results from FNCS Chapter 2 – Season 7 Qualifier 3.

The final week of Fortnite Champion Series (FNCS) Season 7 Qualifiers has come and gone. For many, it was the most important week of all, with only three guaranteed seats in the Season 7 Finals remaining per region. No matter the team’s position, every elimination and placement point proved crucial, considering the FNCS Semi-Finals on tap for next weekend. While some trios have already settled into the $3M USD finalè, others are still a country mile away from competing for the Axe of Champions.

While the FNCS Semi-Finals are typically intense, teams strived to avoid them at all costs, given how unpredictable competitive Fortnite can be at times. Desperation became a critical element in week three. Ultimately, only three teams in each region could attain one of the three remaining spots. With all that said, let’s see how FNCS Qualifier 3 unfolded.

Europe

Andilex, 4zr and xsweeze Dominate After Team Change

The top projected teams came to play in the European region to round out the so-called regular season. However, none performed better than the relatively new trio of Falcon Andilex, 4zr and xsweeze. The final leaderboard wasn’t particularly close, either, as the three French standouts managed 234 points in the final round—41 more than the runners-up.

Andilex, 4zr and xsweeze began the day with a second-place finish and a Victory Royale followed in match number two. No statistic impressed more than the 54 eliminations they earned against some of the region’s best players. They’ll glide into the Season 7 Finals with confidence and ideally an uncontested location depending on the other teams.

Team TaySon Breaks Qualifier Curse

It’s not often that the world’s best player has to perform under pressure in the final FNCS Qualifier. That storyline played out for three-time Axe of Champions holder—Falcon TaySon—and teammates Falcon Veno and Rezon ay. The three players managed back-to-back top-five finishes in the first two qualifiers. Those finishes meant they ultimately fell short of the necessary top-three to secure a spot in the Season Finals.

TaySon, Rezon and Veno righted the ship in week three with 193 points and one Victory Royale. Their lone win occurred in the fifth game out of six, which essentially sealed the deal. To boot, the two-time Trio Cash Cup winners completed 30 eliminations. It was a dire win for TaySon, and his new organizational teammate Veno will have a chance to win his first FNCS title after a runner-up finish in the All-Star Showdown.

Fastroki, Karma and Voidd Come Through in the Clutch

LootBoy Fastroki, Karma and ALOFT Voidd rounded out the top three on the heels of a clutch ten-elimination Victory Royale in the final match. After a great end to week three, they’ll join TaySon and Andilex’s trio in the Season 7 Finals.

NA East

FaZe Duo and Rocaine Secure First

It seems like a long time has passed since the legendary FaZe Clan duo of Megga and Dubs have been atop competitive leaderboards consistently. However, that notion is inaccurate. These two alongside Rocaine have been an underrated trio over the last two seasons. This week, their abilities were on display as Megga, Dubs and Rocaine put up 178 points en route to a first-place finish. It was only a matter of time before this trio broke through in Season 7.

Across six matches, Megga, Dubs and Rocaine earned 32 eliminations and ended week three with an exclamation point in the form of an eight-elimination second-place result. This trio will be a contender in the Season 7 Finals without question in two weeks.

Narwhal, Divine and Zlem Narrowly Finish Second

Elite Esports teammates Narwhal and Zlem, along with divine, did just enough to earn a second-place finish. Their six-match effort produced 170 points, including 35 eliminations and an average placement of 9.83. Narwhal, Zlem and divine managed the second-most eliminations in week three, which rightfully granted them a seat alongside NA East’s best in the Grand Finals.

Clix, Bucke and Kreo Snag the Last Spot

The relatively new team of NRG Clix, NRG Bucke and BBG Kreo can call themselves finalists after a 169-point showing in week three. After splitting with former teammate MackWood a few weeks back, Clix and Bucke turned to Kreo as their new teammate. They immediately churned out a fourth-place finish in the first FNCS Qualifier but needed top-three for the coveted Season 7 Finals position. They achieved that in week three and will bypass the FNCS Semi-Finals for a chance at the Axe of Champions.

Jagveer, Solutions and Mony Coast to Grand Finals Qualification

NA West players Mony, Solutions and Jagveer executed some clinical rotations and farmed placement points in the week three finals. Their first-place result came from just 30 eliminations, but Mony and company placed no lower than ninth in any of their six matches showing pure consistency. It’ll be a week off for these three before enlisting in the Season 7 Finals.
