FOX Entertainment is launching a new blockchain and NFT subsidiary called Blockchain Creative Labs. As such, the entertainment company will be the latest powerhouse to jump on the crypto wagon.
Notably, non-fungible tokens NFTs recently took the world by storm. Everyone from celebrities to sports stars began selling NFTs and making millions. As a result, NFTs have become a household phenomenon.
For this reason, FOX’s blockchain will not only create content on blockchain but also introduce advertisers to the exciting world of NFTs. In line with this, FOX CEO Charlie Collier noted,
“As an advertiser-focused, artist-first, and animation-obsessed company, FOX is going to take advertisers into the world of blockchain-powered tokens, including NFTs. And just as we’re doing this for our own animation, we will also help your brands connect directly with fans and enthusiasts through NFTs.”
To achieve its vision FOX created the first Blockchain Creative Labs animated series called Krapopolis. The series is set in ancient mythological Greece and is “centered on a flawed family of humans, gods, and monsters that tries to run one of the world’s first cities without killing each other.”
In addition, Rick and Morty co-creator Dan Harmon will take creative lead, while Bento Box Entertainment will produce the show.
Apart from series, the new FOX subsidiary will also launch a marketplace. The marketplace will offer NFTs based on series characters and settings. The marketplace will also support tokens that the blockchain will use to reward super fans and offer exclusive user experiences.
