Germany Top Handmade Footwear Brand Now Accepts Shiba Inu

Atheist Shoes announces a 10% discount for all purchases made with Shiba Inu.

Leading handmade shoe manufacturer Atheist Shoes has become the latest brand to accept Shiba Inu payments. According to a recent announcement, Shiba Inu holders can use SHIB to purchase footwear from the Berlin (Germany)-headquartered shoe manufacturer.

Popular cryptocurrency payment provider BitPay recently announced on Twitter that Atheist Shoes partnered with BitPay to accept Shiba Inu payments. 

Atheist Announces 10% Discounts

To celebrate the development, Atheist Shoes is offering a 10% discount for all new orders and payments in Shiba Inu until December 16, 2022. Customers, who want to enjoy the discount, can make payments for their favorite Atheist footwear using the promo code “HANDMADECOMFY.”

Launched in 2012 by Irishman David Bonney, Atheist Shoes is a Berlin-headquartered footwear manufacturing company. Atheist’s footwears are handmade in Porto by four traditional shoemakers, inspired by the Bauhaus minimalistic aesthetic.  

Notably, cryptocurrency enthusiasts can purchase footwear from Atheist using BitPay-supported crypto assets, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Dogecoin.

Growing Acceptance of SHIB Payments

The announcement further suggests a growth in the number of businesses accepting Shiba Inu payments across the globe. Since BitPay added support for Shiba Inu, several businesses have accepted Shib as a payment method.

Some merchants accepting Shiba Inu payments include Hublot, Apple, AMC Entertainment, Pacaso, and Condos.com. Aside from BitPay, Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, has contributed to the widespread acceptance of Shiba Inu payments globally. On November 1, Shiba Inu was added to Binance Pay’s supported crypto assets. Through this addition, merchants across the globe can accept SHIB payments. Some merchants supported by Binance Pay include Travala.com, Alchemy Pay, Settlepay.com, etc.

Meanwhile, according to Coingecko data, Shiba Inu is still trading at $0.00000923, up 2% in the past 24 hours.
