Godzilla, the big lizard with deadly breath and a heart of gold, is having a pop culture moment. Godzilla vs. Kong is a hit movie, and now developer Toho Games has announced a new action mobile game called Godzilla Destruction for release on April 27.
The draw of Godzilla Destruction is incredibly simple, which I’ll explain with two key points:
1) he big
2) he smash
With this in mind, it’s clear to see why a Godzilla mobile game might appeal to folks. This absolute unit uses his weight and Heat Ray to smash cities around the world and even take on other Kaiju. It’s a simple game based around the sweet vindication of crushing your enemies and causing chaos, so needless to say, it’s a great idea for people who are tired of being nice and just want to go apeshit.
Pre-registration is currently open for the game, which is on iOS and Android. Fans can pre-register for some in-game goodies by following the official page on either Facebook or Twitter.
