Govt, NZ Steel to take real action towards a low emissions economy

The government will invest up to $140 million to subsidise one of the country’s largest greenhouse gas emitters, making it New Zealand’s biggest decarbonisation plan to date. This move will cut emissions by 800,000 tonnes per year at a lifetime abatement cost of $16.20/tonne.
