OpenAI launches new subscription plan at $30 per month

It has been priced at $30 per user per month or $25 per month if billed annually. Small companies subscribing to ChatGPT Team will be able to enjoy OpenAI’s latest LLMs GPT 4 and DALL-E 3. Amazon Prime Video & MGM is laying off employees  

Amazon is not done with mass layoffs yet. The company is all set to layoff scores of employees from its entertainment subsidiary companies Amazon Prime Video & MGM Studio. Although exact numbers have not been made public, nearly 100 employees in both companies are likely to lose their job. This move is part of Amazon’s broad cost-cutting measure announced in 2023, which saw the company removing over 27,000 employees across various divisions. Amazon will be paying severance packages and other support services to effected employees. In another bad news, Amazon’s gaming division Twitch is also laying off nearly 500 employees.

Netflix claims Ad Tier plan crosses 23 million subscribers

Netflix’s Advertising Chief, Amy Reinhard, has made a strong claim about Netflix’s recently launched ad supported plan in a latest interview. Reinhard said that the subscriber numbers of the ad supported plan has crossed over 23 million global monthly active users. She further claimed that the company is equally pleased with the high engagement rate with engagement rate touching nearly 85%, which means most subscribers are spending more than 2 hours per day on the platform. if there is any truth to this claim then the streaming giant is likely to announcement good numbers in the upcoming quarterly results.
