Guide: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass DLC release dates, tracks

Five years after launch, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is getting new content with its Booster Course Pass DLC, and we’ve putting together a guide that will cover all release dates and tracks going forward.

Nintendo has opted to focus on remastering previous tracks. Super Mario Kart, Mario Kart 64, Mario Kart: Super Circuit, Mario Kart: Double Dash, Mario Kart DS, Mario Kart Wii, Mario Kart 7, and Mario Kart Tour should all have representation.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass DLC release dates

Wave 1 DLC

The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass is set to release in a few separate rounds. Nintendo has confirmed that the first wave will drop on March 18, 2022.

Wave 2 DLC

The second wave of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass will be available on August 4, 2022.

Wave 3 DLC

Nintendo has announced that wave 3 will drop on December 7, 2022.

Wave 4 DLC

The fourth wave will arrive on March 9, 2023.

Wave 5 DLC

The fifth wave will release on July 12, 2023.

Wave 6 DLC

Nintendo will drop the final wave of DLC by the end of 2023. We’ll update this guide as additional information in shared.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass tracks

Each wave of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC will contain two cups with four tracks each. We have the full lineup in terms of what has been officially announced below. 

Wave 1, Golden Dash Cup

The following tracks will be included in the Golden Dash Cup:

  • Paris Promenade (Tour)
  • Toad Circuit (3DS)
  • Choco Mountain (N64)
  • Coconut Mall (Wii)

Wave 1, Lucky Cat Cup

The following tracks will be included in the Lucky Cat Cup:

  • Tokyo Blur (Tour)
  • Shroom Ridge (DS)
  • Sky Garden (GBA)
  • Ninja Hideaway (Tour)

Wave 2, Turnip Cup

The following tracks will be included in the Turnip Cup:

  • New York Minute (Tour)
  • Mario Circuit 3 (SNES)
  • Kalimari Desert (N64)
  • Waluigi Pinball (DS)

Wave 2, Propeller Cup

The following tracks will be included in the Propeller Cup:

  • Sydney Sprint (Tour)
  • Snow Land (GBA)
  • Mushroom Gorge (Wii)
  • Sky-High Sundae (new, added to Tour later)

Wave 3, Rock Cup

The following tracks will be included in the Rock Cup:

  • London Loop (Tour)
  • Boo Lake (GBA)
  • Rock Rock Mountain (3DS)
  • Maple Treeway (Wii)

Wave 3, Moon Cup

The following tracks will be included in the Moon Cup:

  • Berlin Byways (Tour)
  • Peach Gardens (DS)
  • Merry Mountain (Tour)
  • Rainbow Road (3DS)

Wave 4, Fruit Cup

The following tracks will be included in the Fruit Cup:

  • Amsterdam Drift (Tour)
  • Riverside Park (GBA)
  • DK Summit (Wii)
  • Yoshi’s Island (new)

Wave 4, Boomerang Cup

The following tracks will be included in the Boomerang Cup:

  • Bangkok Rush (Tour)
  • Mario Circuit (DS)
  • Waluigi Stadium (GameCube)
  • Singapore Speedway (Tour)

Note: This wave will also add Birdo as a returning characters. Other characters will be added in the future.

Wave 5, Cherry Cup

The following tracks will be included in the Cherry Cup:

  • Los Angeles Laps (Tour)
  • Sunset Wilds (GBA),
  • Koopa Cape (Wii)
  • Vancouver Velocity (Tour)

Wave 5, Feather Cup

The following tracks will be included in the Feather Cup:

  • Daisy Cruiser (GameCube)
  • Moonview Highway (Wii)
  • Athens Dash (Tour)
  • Squeaky Clean Sprint (new)

Note: This wave will also feature Petey Piranha, Wiggler, and Kamek as new characters.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC pricing

The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass DLC is being sold for $24.99. If you’re a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pass member, you’ll be able to access all of the new content at no extra cost. An individual membership costs $49.99 while a Family Membership is $79.99 per year.
