Hatch Tales, which was most recently on track to launch tomorrow, is seeing a last-minute delay. Atooi now announced that the game is planned for June 21, 2024.
Hatch Tales has been a long time coming. Originally made for 3DS in 2017, Atooi created a Kickstarter for a new Switch version the following year. A number of changes have been made along the way, including the name – it was previously titled Chicken Wiggle Workshop.
Speaking about the delay, Atooi said that “more time is needed to meet our high standards and to deliver an unparalleled gaming experience that exceeds expectations.” It further stated:
“We firmly believe that this new date will result in a game that is more polished, immersive, and enjoyable for everyone. We are dedicated to ensuring that every aspect of Hatch Tales lives up to our vision and provides an unforgettable gaming experience.”
The studio closed by thanking fans for their support “as we work diligently to finalize the game.” Atooi added that “the extra time and effort invested will be worth the wait.”
