The next E3 is right around the corner and it looks like EA are skipping the event in favour of their own presentation.
Here’s all the latest news and information you need to know about EA Play Live ahead of E3.

LATEST – EA Play NOT In E3 2021 Schedule?
Electronic Arts are bringing EA Play Live back! However, there’s something a bit odd about the announcement. It’s not happening during E3 2021’s pre-established June weekend. Rather, this is due to take place on July 22nd!
What gives, right? Does this mean EA just isn’t going to be at E3 at all?
As it stands, they’re still rumoured to appear but this is a surprise to be sure. We can imagine that anything EA does put out at an E3 2021 presentation will be more “Trailer-based” and the EA Play Live a month later will focus more on deep-dive presentations of upcoming titles.

Battlefield 6 Confirmed For E3 2021?
Over the last few days, we’ve been seeing a few “leaked” audio snippets from one possible version of the Battlefield 6 Reveal Trailer and we think it could be coming in June (at E3 2021).
Battlefield has shared the following tweet which cryptically doesn’t give anything away but leads us to believe that Battlefield 6 is going to be shown at EA Play at E3 2021.
As you might imagine, drawing any conclusions from such a vague seven-word Tweet is a little stretch but we’ve got to see something soon, right?

Leaked Screencaps From Trailer
That’s right! We’ve got some brand new Battlefield 6 leaks for you. We already knew that this title was going to signal the return of “all-out-warfare” (even though we don’t really think they’re missing that in Battlefield 1 and V) and we also know that it is supposedly just called “Battlefield”.
However… That’s pretty much all we know. Thankfully, it looks like we might be getting a new reveal soon as a couple of leaked images have popped up.
According to CharlieIntel, the leak was “sitting on Reddit for over two weeks” before it was actually spotted.
Either way, you can check it out below and the ever-insightful Tom Henderson has confirmed that these images are apparently true.
The images themselves just show an island/coastline of some kind and then a low-rendering of an Attack Helicopter interior (by our guesses).

Of course, there are also claims that these are from an old build of Battlefield and/or fake due to their quality. Henderson also had a response to those claims too…

What do you think? Is this image legit? If so… Is it going to make it into the final cut of any reveal trailers we might see later this month?
FIFA 22
We’re usually treated to the first FIFA trailer during the event, so a FIFA 22 teaser is likely to feature during EA Play Live.
As for Ultimate Team, in years gone by we have seen many new features announced in June.
Career Mode received its largest update in years last time around, but players will be expecting more changes again this year.
FIFA 21 only received a Next Gen “update”, so perhaps a fully-fledged version for PS5 and Xbox Series X could be in the works this time around.
FIFA 22 is expected to be released in October 2021.
Madden 22
We can expect to see a gameplay trailer for Madden 22 at EA Play Live, along with a developer interview which should give us some insight into the new NFL game.
We’ve already seen a teaser into what EA is working on for the title, and with EA Play Live only arriving two or so months ahead of full release – we could see the Cover Athlete revealed too.
Madden 22 is set to be released in August 2021.
NHL 22
We expect NHL 22 will be optimized for next-gen consoles, so hopefully, we’ll see a next-gen trailer at EA Play Live.

While the NHL 22 release date is yet to be determined, we can assume the game will be coming around September if it keeps on track with other releases from the series.
EA Sports PGA Tour
The golfing community were surprised last month with EA pinching the PGA Tour licence off rivals 2K, announcing the return of EA Sports PGA Tour.
The Masters (as well as the other three majors) has already been confirmed, so we hope to see some licenced golfers in a trailer and even an insight into gameplay at the EA Play Live showcase.
With no release date set in stone, perhaps EA will announce the official date at EA Play Live, or even a Ryder Cup announcement.
The Sims 5
It has been rumoured we will see The Sims 5 at EA Play Live 2021.
If the rumours are true, we’d love to see a trailer, however, this is likely to be very short with the game not being released for a while yet.
Sims 5 is expected to be released in Spring 2022.
NBA Live 22
Is the NBA Live franchise coming back?
We haven’t heard anything from the Live team since before the Coronavirus pandemic, so a huge question mark remains over the franchise.
With EA announcing the return of the College Football and PGA Tour franchises, there’s every chance that an NBA Live 22 (or even 23) statement could arrive.
If NBA Live 22 were to launch it would likely arrive in late August 2021, so EA may be running out of time.
Battlefield 6
Battlefield 6 is definitely a game fans will be looking out for.
Hopefully, we’ll see a gameplay trailer at EA Play Live, after receiving a sneak peek last year.
Battlefield 6 is set to be released Holiday 2021.
Skate 4
We are not sure if Skate 4 (possibly called just Skate) will be included in EA Play Live 2021, but we’d love to see a teaser trailer if it is!
EA has not yet confirmed a release date for Skate 4, so perhaps there will be an announcement on a specific date that fans can look forward to.
It was announced Skate was returning at last year’s EA Play Live showcase – but it’s been radio silence ever since.
EA Sports College Football
There’s a slim chance we’ll see a very small EA Sports College Football teaser at EA Play Live 2021.
Despite being announced earlier this year, the game is not expected until 2023 – so anything shown at E3 would be a bonus.
Knockout City
Knockout City arrives this May, but with Seasonal content to come, expect to find all about Season 1 at EA Play Live.
Apex Legends
Season 9 of Apex Legends arrives in May, meaning that EA Play arrives at an awkward time for their Seasonal cycle – so what could Respawn reveal?
We haven’t heard anything about Apex’s Next Gen port – so if the team does decide to reveal something, expect it to be future plans for PS5 and Xbox Series X.
Star Wars
EA did lose the exclusive rights to the Star Wars franchise, but will continue to make games for a “galaxy far, far away”.
We aren’t expecting any EA Star Wars announcement, but don’t rule anything out just yet.
PES 2022 withdrawn from E3
It has just been revealed that Konami has withdrawn from the E3 2021 event.
This means that we won’t be seeing any news or trailers on PES 22 at E3.
No real reason has been revealed other than suggesting that the gaming company is working on ‘other projects’.
With Konami’s next football sim set to be released in around six months time, the withdrawal has not filled PES fans with much confidence.
The community on Reddit believe that perhaps we will see the first real PES 22 trailers at Gamescom.

Codemasters titles?
Racing fans could be in for a treat too, as EA’s newest Studio Codemasters could get involved this year. What could Codemasters bring to EA Play Live 2021?
Well, what about exclusive F1 2021 details or the announcement of DiRT Rally 3.0! We’ll just have to wait and see what the British racing masters have in store.
