The Apex Legends x FF7: Rebirth event launches in just one week, and we have everything you can expect from the monumental crossover.

Respawn Entertainment and Square Enix are combining forces to kick off 2024 in style. As fans eagerly await the release of Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth, they can first celebrate the upcoming remake in Apex Legends. The collaboration came as a surprise announcement during The Game Awards 2023 when the event’s trailer dropped for the whole world to see. Now, as the days tick down until the in-game event, new leaks have revealed exactly what is coming on Jan. 9, 2024.

Here’s a breakdown of everything you can expect in the Apex Legends x FF7: Rebirth collaboration.

Although there has not been much confirmed information about the Apex Legends x FF7: Rebirth event, the trailer does show three skins coming to Apex Legends that turns Legends into FF7 characters. At the minimum, fans can expect the following skins

Reliable Apex Legends leaker, HYPERMYST, also revealed there will be Iconic skins coming for the following Legends in the event:

The post also shares that Epic skins are releasing for the Nemesis, Mastiff, CAR SMG, and even Lifeline.

A new Heirloom could very well be coming in the Apex Legends x FF7: Rebirth event. The trailer shows Crypto wielding Cloud’s Buster Sword, which could be featured as a recolored Heirloom for the Legend.

In the past, Apex Legends Heirlooms have been leaked before they release in-game, but there has been very little intel regarding the next one coming to the Battle Royale. Although most people assumed Newcastle or Mad Maggie would get the next Heirloom, it seems Crypto’s Biwon Blade could get an upgrade first.

Even if it is not an Heirloom, the sword will have some role to play in the crossover event, especially after such a heavy emphasis in the initial trailer.

Stay tuned for more updates as the crossover approaches.
