Lost Epoch: How to dual wield

Only certain classes in the game can dual-wield. On top of that, you’ll need specific passive skills to take on two weapons. Of the characters that can dual-wield, some of them require more grinding than others. But regardless of which class you pick that can dual wield, make sure you’re only using one-handed weapons. Otherwise, both slots get filled up with two-handed weapons.

Check out this snapshot of who can dual-wield below. You can also find out which passive skill you need.

  • Rogue – From unlocking Twin Blade by spending five skill points, you can use one-handed swords and daggers.
  • Primialist – Earned when you invest five skill points in Harmony of Blades. The weapons you can use are One-handed axes and one-handed swords.
  • Sentinel – After spending about 20 points you get to dual-wield one-handed swords.
  • Mage (Spellblade Mastery): Once you get the Mastery and spend 45 points, two-handed swords can be equipped at the same time.

If you want to dual-wield quickly, I’d take the Rogue. They can level up faster, and get the passive skill early. When you have any of the aforementioned passive skills unlocked, simply drag a one-handed weapon to the shield slot

Is dual-wielding important?

Fighting this way can be beneficial based on what character you’re using. If you’re a Rogue, for example, you should wait until you reach the higher levels because the character cannot take a beating. On the other hand, playing and attacking quickly with two weapons in both hands might make crowd control possible.
