Jevgeni Kabanov, President at the European mobility unicorn Bolt, will speak at this year’s EU-Startups Summit! | EU-Startups

We are thrilled to announce that Bolt’s President Jevgeni Kabanov, will be one of our esteemed speakers at this year’s EU-Startups Summit on May 9-10 in Malta.

Founded in 2013, Bolt is one of Europe’s most successful unicorns and a leading urban mobility company in Europe and Africa. With a total of about $2 billion in funding and roughly 9,000 team members, the company is at the forefront of pioneering efforts to transform urban transportation and advocate for sustainable city development. Today, Bolt has over 150 million customers in more than 45 countries and 500 cities across Europe and Africa and offers a range of mobility products including ride-hailing, scooter and e-bike rentals, food delivery, grocery delivery and car-rentals.

Bolt President Jevgeni also was the founder and CEO of ZeroTurnaround, a development tools company with 230 employees and 10s of millions of revenue acquired by Rogue Wave. He is an entrepreneurship champion and was the president of the Estonian Founders Society. In 2015, he received the EY Entrepreneur of the Year award in Estonia. Jevgeni has a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Tartu and has published papers on topics ranging from category theory notions to typesafe Java DSLs. He has initiated several open source projects and serves on the board of a number of startups. Jevgeni doesn’t have a driver’s license and believes in a future where cities are built for people, not cars.

Also, Jevgeni is a passionate angel investor, focusing on investment opportunities across a diverse range of sectors, including consumer space, B2B SaaS, fintech, logistics, hardware, deep tech, and MedTech.
