The 2024 NFL Draft will be a great event for teams to start building for their future. Here is the Kamari Lassiter 2024 NFL Draft Profile.

Kamari Lassiter Background

Position: Cornerback

School: Georgia

Size: 5-foot-11 1/2 inches, 186 pounds

Class: Junior

2023 stats: 37 total tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, 8 passes defended

Lassiter was a part of some very talented Georgia teams over the last few years. He is now in the 2024 NFL Draft.

As a four-star recruit in the class of 2021, Lassiter signed with Georgia out of Alabama. He played sparingly in 2021, helping the team win a National Championship. Lassiter stepped into the starting lineup in 2022, producing 38 total tackles and four passes defended. He led the Bulldogs to a second-straight National Championship. In 2023, Lassiter totaled 37 total tackles and eight passes defended. His play helped the Bulldogs go 13-1.

Following the 2023 season, Lassiter declared for the 2024 NFL Draft. He is currently projected to be a day two pick.

Kamari Lassiter Strengths

Overall, Lassiter is a solid athlete for the position. He has good quickness and agility. Lassiter has good movement abilities in short spaces, which help him mirror wide receivers. He also has good leaping ability to help him matchup with bigger receivers.

Lassiter has good awareness and route recognition, which has him in good position a lot of plays. He knows where a play is going before it happens sometimes. He does a good job of reading the quarterback’s eyes, but also the receiver’s eyes to know when the ball is coming.

His versatility makes him an intriguing prospect as well. Lassiter held up on the outside against some good receivers in the SEC. He also has the potential to play in the slot at the NFL level and be able to match up well. A team needing either a slot or an outside corner could select Lassiter.

Kamari Lassiter Weaknesses

There are some questions about Lassiter’s long speed, which were furthered when he didn’t run the 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine. He can sometimes give up big plays when he is beat vertically. Lassiter could be exposed by NFL receivers who have elite speed.

His coverage is physical, but sometimes it goes too far. He can be grabby and some of that is because of the lack of speed. Lassiter will be flagged for that in the NFL level. He needs to trust his technique and probably get help over the top.

Lassiter doesn’t have the most consistent ball skills. He can sometimes struggle to track and find the ball in the air. Lassiter also doesn’t turn to make plays on the ball very often. He has just 14 passes defended in his career and one interception. Lassiter can cover well, but big plays may not come frequently.
