LiveKid, a leading European platform for managing pre-schools and nurseries and parent-kindergarten communication, has raised a  €3.14 million funding round from Inovo VC. The funding will fuel LiveKid’s further expansion in LATAM, including opening an office in Mexico, as well as strengthening the company’s position in Spain and Poland.

Founded in 2017 by Jakub Pawelski, LiveKid offers an all-in-one platform for pre-school and nursery management. It provides all the tools needed for smooth kindergarten operations and communication with parents, including billing, staff management, admissions, meal planning, e-journals, bulletin boards, galleries and reports. LiveKid also proves to be invaluable in payments management, from setting up charges schemes, through the billing system, to mobile payments for parents.

Parents, on the other hand, have access to an easy-to-use mobile app, with all the information about the pre-school education and care of their children in one place. They use it to quickly pay tuition fees, submit absences, message the staff about food preferences or allergies, or just watch their kids’ activities during the day.

LiveKid simplifies the lives of more than 400,000 parents, whose children attend over 3,500 kindergarten and nurseries The company processes annually over €150 million in payments for tuition fees and other kindergarten services. LiveKid itself generates over €3 million in ARR, with the biggest markets being Poland, Spain, and Mexico. The company’s growth has been mostly organic, but recently has been fueled by acquisitions in Canada, Poland, and Spain, including Barcelona-based Dinantia.

The recent investment from Inovo VC, will help accelerate the growth of LiveKid. The company will continue its growth in Europe, and plans Latin American expansion. LiveKid will open an office in Mexico in 2024, hiring 20 people. They will join the European team of 70, working from the offices in Kraków, Poland, and Barcelona, Spain. The company also plans to introduce Portuguese language in the platform (following English, German, Polish, Spanish, and Ukrainian), and expand to Portugal and Brazil.

The €3.14 million funding round is the second time the company has raised capital from external investors, following the €2.1 million round in 2021. Prior to that it has been growing only through reinvestments of its revenue.

Michał Rokosz, partner at Inovo VC, said: “We have known Kuba for several years and have been following his progress practically since the beginning of the company. He is a founder who is truly passionate about the problem being solved. This is evident in every aspect of the company’s operations, particularly in the emphasis on high-quality customer service. LiveKid is also a company with very high capital efficiency. They managed to grow to a significant scale with just one funding round. Kuba and his team are close to winning the Polish market, while also being well on their way to replicating their success in Spain and Mexico. Businesses of the vertical SaaS type, once they achieve a dominant position in the market, are very profitable and are able to maintain their position for a long time.”

Jakub Pawelski, CEO & Founder of LiveKid, added: ”6 years ago LiveKid created a new  category of digital services and products for pre-school childcare in Poland. Since then, we’ve grown in a capital-efficient way. This includes making a strong entry into Mexico with limited resources. Now, we aim to be a global leader, and that needs bold steps. The fresh funds will help us hire more people in Mexico, grow in current and new markets, along with the opportunity to consolidate the market.”
