Indian Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) caster Zishan “Mazy” Alam recently disclosed Krafton’s potential plan to compile an official list of Tier-1 teams after the conclusion of Battleground Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2023. Mazy speculated that this list might gain official recognition, and offer listed teams direct invites to invite-only tournaments and tournaments with dedicated invite-slot.

In a recent livestream, Mazy revealed that Krafton might unveil an official list of Tier-1 BGMI teams following the conclusion of the ongoing Battleground Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2023. He said, “Following the culmination of BGIS 2023, there is a possibility—though I am not sure—that we might get a T1 team list. Moreover, there’s a chance that this list could carry official recognition (from Krafton). If such an official T1 teams list is indeed compiled, I envision that these T1 teams should receive direct invitations to participate in any upcoming invite-only tournaments or any tournament with dedicated invite-slots.”

Following this, he urged his viewers to request for an official T1 BGMI teams list from Krafton for a seamless and hassle-free esports experience. “You should also bring up the matter and demand an official list of T1 teams from the officials (Kraftons). This will help everyone understand how many T1 teams are present in India, and what we are capable of.”

Tier1 teams hold a distinctive position in the esports community. These are the top teams that have consistently proved their worth in tournaments, achieving commendable placements and showcasing exceptional skill over an extended period. This move to release an official T1 BGMI teams list would mark a significant leap in promoting professionalism within the Indian esports scene.
