Complete Need More Friends The Hunt Guide

In this guide, I’ll walk you through the surprisingly involved process of getting The Hunt badge for Need More Friends. You can do this immediately on a brand-new file: no previous experience with the game is necessary!

Part 1 – Collecting The Crystals

The first step in gaining the badge for this game is to collect 10 purple crystals. These are scattered throughout the house in which you start. They’re in the same places every time, so just follow this list and you’ll be fine.

  • Crystal 1 – In the corner of your room, next to the golden nuke.
  • Crystal 2 – At the foot of your bed in your room.
  • Crystal 3 – In the corner of the room directly opposite yours.
  • Crystal 4 – On the lamp by the bed in the same room as Crystal 3.
  • Crystal 5 – Between the bath and toilet in the bathroom.
  • Crystal 6 – On the sink in the bathroom.
  • Crystal 7 – Next to the sofa in the living room.
  • Crystal 8 – Next to the fireplace in the living room.
  • Crystal 9 – On the counter in the kitchen.
  • Crystal 10 – On the front of the car in the garage.

Once you’ve gathered all 10 crystals, make your way to the locked portal in the living room. Interact with it to unlock it, then interact again to get whisked off to a brand new location.

Part 2 – Cracking The Code

The next section is also a scavenger hunt of sorts, only for numbers this time instead of crystals. You’ll need to find four different numbers as you proceed through a series of obbies and other challenges, in order to unlock a coded door at the end. The numbers are random each time, but their locations are always the same.

  • Number 1 – On the wall to the left of the door after the first obby section.
  • Number 2 – On the wall to your right after entering the corridor with the rolling boulders.
  • Number 3 – On the wall behind you next to the first checkpoint in the road crossing section.
  • Number 4 – On the wall round the corner after the laser-light section. This is located past the code door.

Once you have all four numbers, return to the coded door and enter the full code in the order printed on the wall. This will unlock the door, letting you access the final stretch of this challenge.

Part 3 – The Final Stretch

Beyond the coded door, you’ll find yourself in a hedge maze. Just hug the left wall and keep moving forward to easily get through this section.

Next up, you’ll have to take on two obby challenges in a row. The first is a series of precise jumps over a blinding blue pit, and the second is an extremely narrow walkway followed by a gauntlet of meteors that move back and forth.

For the first, keep your speed up and try to maintain momentum to avoid falling short. For the second, do the opposite and take your time. You’ll rarely be under time pressure in the meteor section, so just slowly make your way through to the finish line.

The Rewards

After the meteor section, you’ll enter a room where your parents surprise you with a party hat and some gifts. Pick up the hat from the altar in the middle of the room and you’ll put it on, claiming The Hunt badge for Need More Friends in the process!
