Source Node: 2236768

In Animal Crossing: New Horizons there are some new bugs and fish for July 2020. Every month some bugs and fish leave your island, and new ones come to settle on, in, and around it as well. That means that you now have a chance to capture a whole new range of collectible critters whilst fishing or bug catching. (Ambien) This guide covers every single new bug and fish that you’ll be able to get, and we’ve even covered both the northern and southern hemispheres, so regardless of where you’re playing, you know what new creatures to collect.

New Bugs and Fish for July 2020 Northern Hemisphere

Fish: Sweetfish – You’ll find these fish in rivers at any time of day, so fish away and you’ll probably catch one.

Fish: Napoleonfish – These fish can only be caught out at sea between 4am and 9pm, so keep an eye on the time if you want to net one.

Fish: Puffer Fish – You can catch a Puffer Fish out at sea at any time of day.

Fish: Blue Marlin – You’ll only be able to catch Blue Marlins from a pier, but they will be available from that location at any time of day.

Fish: Ocean Sunfish – These are colossal fish that can only be caught out at sea between 4am and 9pm. Keep an eye on the time if you want one of these bad boys.

Bug: Grasshoper – You’ll see Grasshoppers everywhere on the ground between the hours of 8am and 5pm on your island.

Bug: Brown Cicada – Brown Cicada will only spawn on trees between the hours of 8am and 5pm.

Bug: Robust Cicada – Much like the Brown Cicada, these bugs will only appear on trees between 8am and 5pm.

Bug: Giant Cicada – Once again, this variety of Cicada will only appear between 8am and 5pm on trees.

Bug: Evening Cicada – Bucking the trend for Cicadas somewhat, Evening Cicada will only appear between 4am and 8am, or between 4pm and 7pm, and they’ll only do so on trees.

Bug: Cicada Shell – These are the most common Cicada by far, appearing on trees at any time of day.

Bug: Blue Weevil Beetle – These bugs are another really common one, as long as you have the right trees. They’ll appear at any tiem of day, but only on Coconut Trees.

Bug: Earth-Boring Dung Beetle – This may be the most common bug for the month, appearing on the ground at all times of day.

Bug: Scarab Beetle – You’ll only come across a Scarab Beetle on trees between the hours of 11pm and 8am, so you’ll need to stay up late if you want to catch one.

Bug: Saw Stag – Get used to seeing these bugs, because they’ll appear on trees at any time of day.

Bug: Miyama Stag – Similar to the Saw Stage, these guys will appear on trees at all times of day.

Bug: Giant Stag – Just to be different, the Giant Stag will only appear on trees between the hours of 11pm and 8am, making them another one to stay up late for.

Bug: Cyclommatus Stag – Make sure you have some Coconut Trees, because these bugs will only spawn on them between the hours of 5pm and 8am.

Bug: Golden Stag – These bugs have a very prestigious name, but they’re still just bugs. You’ll have to work to catch them though, because they only spawn on Coconut Trees between 5pm and 8am.

Bug: Giraffe Stag – I don’t know if these Stags have a long neck, but I do know when and where to catch them. You’ll find them on Coconut Trees between 5pm and 8am.

Bug: Horned Dynastid – These nasty-sounding guys will spawn on trees between 5pm and 8am, watch out in case they’re dangerous.

Bug: Horned Atlas – This other horned bug will only spawn on Coconut Trees between 5pm and 8am.

Bug: Horned Elephant – I checked, this is definitely a bug. This one will also only spawn between 5pm and 8am on Coconut Trees.

Bug: Horned Hercules – These beefy bigs will only spawn on Coconut Trees between 5pm and 8am as well.

Bug: Walking Stick – They might sound common, but they’re not. These bugs will only spawn on trees between 4am and 8am, or 5pm and 7pm. Schedule in your catching session now.

Bug: Walking Leaf – These bugs spawn all day, but they’re a nightmare to track down. They appear near trees, but they’re disguised as furniture leaves. You’ve been warned.

New Bugs and Fish for July 2020 Southern Hemisphere

Unfortunately for those of you in the southern hemisphere, there are no new bugs or fish this month. Since it’s currently winter in Animal Crossing: New Horizons for you, the bugs and fish are mostly staying put. Don’t worry though, the same will happen for us in the northern hemisphere in six months or so.

Those are all of the new bugs and fish for July 2020 in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. We hope that this helps you figure out just how many new creatures you need to hunt down and capture before August rolls around.
