New Dota 2 Update Adds Improved Labs Features & Collector’s Cache Voting

With the first act of Crownfall in full swing, Valve has released a new update for Dota 2, introducing a couple of intriguing additions to the game.

The May 6th Dota 2 update brings with it improved ‘Dota Labs’ features alongside the much-anticipated Collector’s Cache voting for the Crownfall event, encouraging the community to vote for their favorite cosmetics to be added to the game in a future update.

While this update might not be the major gameplay patch that has been eagerly awaited by the Dota 2 community in recent months, it does introduce several quality-of-life improvements aimed at enhancing the gameplay experience for all players.

New Patch Brings Dota Labs Improvements

For starters, the first promotion of a Dota Labs option in the game has been made, and it is the high-visibility hero health bars, now accessible under Options -> Interface instead of Dota Labs.

Dota Labs itself has experienced several improvements over the past few weeks, as confirmed by the developers themselves.

Valve said in a blog post, “Over the last weeks (and today), we’ve shipped a variety of updates to the other features, including additional controls for the overlay map, new data in the pre-match analytics, and the ability to treat targeting modifier keys as toggles rather than holds.”

Finally, due to the abundance of valuable submissions received from the Feedback button integrated into the Crownfall map, Valve has decided to incorporate a similar feature into the Dota Labs UI.

Collector’s Cache Voting

If you’re eager to customize your Dota 2 heroes with some stunning cosmetics, this update is sure to delight you, as it has initiated voting for the Crownfall Collector’s Cache.

During the voting period, the Dota 2 community can vote on their favorite community-made sets. The sets with the most number of upvotes will make their way into the game via the Collector’s Cache, which will be added to the game in a future update.
