The bowl season gives fans and scouts alike a chance to analyze NFL Draft prospects against solid competition. Bowl scheduling allows all eyes to be on each game. Here are the NFL Draft prospects in the 2022 Sun Bowl.

Pittsburgh Panthers Draft Prospects

Erick Hallett, CB

Hallett has been with Pittsburgh for the last four seasons, but has been really productive over the last two years. In his career, he has 158 total tackles, seven interceptions and 22 passes defended. This season, Hallett has 47 total tackles, three interceptions and nine passes defended.

He doesn’t have great size at 5-foot-11 and 195 pounds, but he can still play at the NFL level. Hallett has solid ball skills, but has also shown he can make tackles and help against the run. He is projected to be a late-round pick.

Projected Draft Range: Sixth Round Pick-Undrafted Free Agent

*RB Israel Abanikanda has opted out of this game. He is a projected mid-round pick.

*DL Calijah Kancey has opted out of this game. He is a projected mid-round pick.

*LB SirVocea Dennis has opted out of this game. He is a projected mid-round pick.

*EDGE Habakkuk Baldonado has opted out of this game. He is a projected late-round pick.

*OT Carter Warren has opted out of this game. He is a projected late-round pick.

UCLA Bruins Draft Prospects

Zach Charbonnet, RB

Charbonnet started his career out at Michigan before transferring to UCLA, where he blossomed into a start. He has 3,346 rushing yards and 39 touchdowns in his career. This season, he has rushed for 1,359 yards and 14 touchdowns.

At 6-foot-1 and 220 pounds, Charbonnet has good size for a running back. He has solid power and contact balance. Defenders can’t arm-tackle him. His speed and quickness may be limited, but he can be a solid NFL running back.

Projected Draft Range: Fourth Round Pick-Sixth Round Pick

Laiatu Latu, EDGE

Latu signed with Washington out of high school, where he spent two seasons before transferring to UCLA. In his career, he has 48 total tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss and 10 sacks. This season, he has 33 total tackles, 11 tackles for loss and 9.5 sacks.

He has solid size for an NFL edge rusher at 6-foot-4 and 265 pounds. His one-year of college production could raise some eyebrows, so he may return to school to try and increase his stock. He showed this season that he is a good pass rusher, but could have a more complete game.

Projected Draft Range: Fourth Round Pick-Sixth Round Pick
