Overwatch 2’s Invasion Begins 10th August, Support Hero Illari Revealed, New Maps Incoming

Overwatch 2’s Invasion event kicks off tomorrow, 10th August, and we got a pair of new trailers showing off both Season 6’s inclusions and an animated short featuring Sojourn. Like the rest of Blizzard’s animated offerings, the latter’s of particularly high quality and serves to expand the overarching Overwatch universe.

Season 6 has been hyped quite a bit by Blizzard, and, completely unrelated, former rapper and current Hollywood hero John Cena has been concerned about the implications of the Invasion event for a while now. Solar-powered new Support Hero Illari looks like a blast and maps Survasa, New Junk City should serve to spice things up, alongside a new permanent game mode called Flashpoint.
