A Piedmont Airlines (2nd) ground employee was killed in an industrial accident at Montgomery, AL on December 31, 2022.
Around 3 pm on New Year’s eve, flight AA3408, operated by Piedmont Airlines, was preparing to depart to the Dallas/Fort Worth International (DFW) hub. The ground crew member was tragically sucked into the engine and was killed.
MGM has resumed normal operations as of 8:30 pm this evening. Our thoughts and prayers are with the AA/Piedmont Airlines/employee’s family and ground crew. The FAA investigation of Piedmonts tragic accident continues. https://t.co/ixbvUm2HZc
