Pinecones are found all over the northern half of the Genshin Impact map.
A common item, for sure, yet one that is not used for much in the game besides the Marvelous Merchandise Event and a couple of recipes.
Thankfully this means they are easy to harvest in bulk so players always have some in their inventory when use for them arises.
Pinecone Locations in Genshin Impact
Take a look at the map below to find all the pinecone locations in Genshin Impact.
While they are plentiful, there are specific areas where they seem to be more plentiful.
The Stormbearer Mountains are home to numerous fir trees just west of the Anemo Hypostasis, allowing players to harvest a lot of pinecones in a single area.
The next area to check is Wolvendom, north of Dawn Winery.
Pinecones are a bit more scattered in this area, but still plentiful.
Lastly, players should check for pinecones in Qingoe Village.
This area is not on the map above, as the village in near Liyue.
By teleporting to the waypoint just above the “Q” in the village’s name to find a bridge that will lead to around nine pinecones.

Uses for Pinecones
Pinecones are an item Liben often requests during the Marvelous Merchandise Event.
They are also an important ingredient in Mondstadt Hash Browns and Sauteed Matsutake.
Mondstadt Hash Browns requires two pinecones, one potato, and one jam.
The dish restores 30 – 34% of Max HP and an additional 600 – 1,900 HP to the selected character.
Sauteed Matsutake requires three matsutake, three flour, two pinecones, and two butter.
The dish increases all party members’ ATK by 160 – 228 for 300s.
