Pokémon Go is hosting a fairy-type event from Jan. 13-16 called “Dazzling Dream.”

Throughout the event, you’ll get doubled Stardust for catching and hatching Pokémon. Cutiefly is also making its shiny debut, so you may find one if you’re lucky.

Pokémon Go ‘Dazzling Dream’ event Timed Research

Note that this Timed Research is locked behind a $2 ticket that you can buy in the shop. You have to finish the research by the time the event ends (Jan. 16 at 8 p.m. in your local time) to get all the rewards.

  • Catch 20 fairy-type Pokémon (Cutiefly encounter)
  • Spin 20 PokéStops or gyms (Swirlix encounter)
  • Earn 3,000 Stardust (Spritzee encounter)

Spinning PokéStops during the event period may yield one of these event-themed Field Research Tasks:

  • Evolve 3 fairy-type Pokémon (Carbink encounter)
  • Hatch an egg (Alolan Vulpix encounter)
  • Hatch 2 eggs (Mawile encounter)
  • Power up Pokémon 10 times (Spritzee, Swirlix, or Cutiefly encounter)
  • Evolve a fairy-type Pokémon (20 Gardevoir or Altaria Mega Energy)
  • Catch 5 Pokémon (5 Revives or 500 Stardust)

Pokémon Go ‘Dazzling Dream’ event 7 km eggs

Opening gifts from friends during the event period will yield 7 km eggs that can hatch the following:

  • Togepi
  • Spritzee
  • Swirlix
  • Cutiefly

Notably, Cutiefly obtained from hatching these eggs will have a higher chance of being shiny than Cutiefly found in the wild, according to Niantic’s own blog post.
