Pokémon Scarlet and Violet: All Watchtower locations

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet have plenty of hidden-away secrets within the Paldea region’s open world. This includes Watchtowers that are the home for Gimmighoul, the coin chest Pokémon. The Pokémon community has been speculating how many of these Watchtowers exist, where they are, and how they correlate to Gimmighoul. Well, we can help you out. Here are all the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Watchtower locations.

All Watchtower locations – Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Gimmighoul is a tiny little Pokémon that hides with a chest. They were introduced right before the release of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet as a catchable Pokémon in Pokémon Go. In Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, Gimmighoul is also catchable at any 14 Watchtowers. Once caught or defeated, the player will receive Gimmighoul coins, which are needed to evolve Gimmighoul into Gholdengo. All 14 watchtower locations can be found on the map below at the red-dotted locations.

The Watchtowers are spread throughout the Paldea region but can be accessed relatively quickly if you have your Koraidon or Miraidon. Some of the easiest watchtowers are to the west and line up well with one another. However, skipping to the watchtowers to the east or northeast will prove difficult for trainers, since some are at high-level locations. Progressing the in-game story at your own pace is recommended, and while you explore, you will find the Watchtowers naturally.

Meeting the Gimmighoul

Once you find a Watchtower, climb to the very top, and there you can find a Gimmighoul chest and maybe a new item or TM. To evolve Gimmighoul, you will need to collect 999 Gimmighoul coins. You will have to visit the watchtowers multiple times since catching or defeating a Gimmighoul is the fastest way to farm this resource. Gimmighouls have a 5% chance of respawning daily. Also, keep an eye out for lone Gimmighouls without their chest within the open world to help increase your progress.
