Version 1.2 of Honkai: Star Rail is still underway, but developers are already looking ahead to the next major update with some plans to update the game’s quality of life in a significant way. The developers released a “Developer Radio” newsletter laying out their planned changes, which include alterations to Trailblaze Power, story dialogue, and improvements to the game’s chatting system. The major highlight for most players will likely be the update to the game’s Trailblaze Power system, allowing players to farm relics and materials more efficiently.

Honkai: Star Rail has an energy system like many gacha games, known as Trailblaze Power, which gates you from infinitely farming ascension materials and equipment for your characters. To the delight of most players, the developers have announced that the cap for Trailblaze Power will be raised from 180 to 240. Excess Trailblaze Power will also be converted into a new resource known as “Reserved Trailblaze Power,” which will allow you to bank any surplus of Trailblaze Power you’ve accumulated. This should allow players to log in less, as you won’t have to worry about overcapping your Trailblaze Power.

Another major quality-of-life change coming to the game is the addition of a new 5-star Light Cone coming to Herta’s Shop. This Light Cone will be of the “Nihility” class. Herta’s Shop features a collection of free 5-star Light Cones, allowing players to receive a number of 5-star Light Cones for free. Other quality-of-life changes include the ability to replay story dialogues, sending stickers while chatting with friends, and enhancing the game’s auto-battle.
