Red Bull announces UK’s first professional women’s VALORANT tournament for 2024 | GosuGamers

Red Bull Instalock is not your typical all-women tournament as teams are required to include three Duelists on their team compositions.

Red Bull announced Red Bull Instalock, UK’s first professional women’s VALORANT tournament for 2024.

Red Bull will invite four of the world’s best VALORANT teams to London to compete in a one-of-a-kind event. The invited teams include powerhouse names such as G2 Gozen, GIANTX, Karmine Corp, and Shopify Rebellion.

This tournament will not be your typical VALORANT tournament. The traditional team compositions of one or two Duelists, an Initiator, a Sentinel, and a Controller are not allowed. Teams are required to play three Duelists to showcase a more aggressive playstyle and strategies.

Fans will surely be on the edge of their seats as teams steer away from the usual agent drafts that they see in the professional scene. On top of that, they get to cheer on their favorite all-women pro team.

The Red Bull Gaming Sphere in Shoreditch is undergoing a transformation to recreate the immersive ambiance of the iconic VALORANT map Icebox.

“It’s fantastic to see another event for women’s VALORANT come into play and Red Bull Instalock is another amazing step into making a really lively competitive scene. It’s also going to be great for fans, with the format twist bringing a really exciting and new edge to every matchup,” Red Bull Player and member of G2 Gozen Michaela “mimi” Lintrup said.

Esteemed British esports host, Yinsu Collins, will lead the broadcast, accompanied by commentary from Kieran “Kairo” Tulloch, Billie “BillieIDK” Purdie, Matt “Twiggy” Twigg, and Harry “Hazza” Chapman. Additionally, British FNATIC content creator and partnered streamer Megan ‘Megsoundslikeegg’ Garner will host the creator showmatch on Sunday, the 21st.

The tournament will be held at Bull Gaming Sphere in Shoreditch, London from April 20-21.
