AAM Group, the vehicle leasing and rental group, is restructuring its Best Car Finder credit broker division to collaborate with its MyCarDirect vehicle subscription service which competes with dealers.

Duncan Chumley, chief executive of MyCarDirect since 2020 (pictured), will also assume the role of chief executive at Best Car Finder, bringing extensive experience in the automotive industry and a strong track record of leadership from roles heading Free2MOve Leasing and Citroen Financial Services.

The group, which was previously known as Alliance Asset Management when it launched in 1997, said Chumley is poised to drive the company’s vision of providing unparalleled convenience and transparency to car buyers.

Through closer collaboration with Cambridgeshire-based AAM Group’s Mycardirect vehicle subscription business, Best Car Finder aims to strengthen its service offerings and set new industry standards.

Mycardirect“We are thrilled to announce the restructuring of Best Car Finder, which marks an exciting new chapter for our business,” said Duncan Chumley.

“Our commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences is at the core of this restructure.

“By working closely with Mycardirect and focusing on compliance with consumer duty legislation, we aim to set new benchmarks in customer satisfaction, transparency, and convenience.”

The reorganisation has been brought into focus by the new Consumer Duty regime of the Financial Conduct Authority, and AAG Group said Best Car Finder will prioritize compliance with the new legislation, safeguarding consumer interests, promoting transparency, and empowering customers with comprehensive information and increased choices when purchasing or subscribing to vehicles.
