Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada October Update

Manitobans lead the country in charitable giving, according to a report by the Fraser Institute. But I’m sure this comes as no surprise to you; Manitobans don’t need a study or report to prove their generosity. Just put out the call to support a cause near and dear to Manitobans, and we will respond faster than a Starfighter jet.

Terry Slobodian, President & CEO

Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada is grateful to be counted among these worthy causes. We have benefitted from the incredible support of private and individual donors to the tune of over $20 million to date!

This past week, our Climb Aboard! Capital Campaign surpassed $42 Million. We could not have reached this milestone if it were not for the generosity of Manitobans like you!

This newsletter is a tribute to YOU, our donors. Because of your support, we were able to complete the construction of our building on time and move our aircraft into their new home in preparation for your visit in March 2022.

Three remarkable donors are featured below: Jim McManes, Northern Lights Petroleum, and Bob Williams. Each of them has a unique story to tell about why they give and, specifically, why they chose our museum to support.

We hope Bob Williams’ $300,000 challenge will inspire you. And, if you have already given all that you can, please share this opportunity with your friends.

We are counting on that Friendly Manitoba energy to help us complete our campaign.

Gratefully,
Terry Slobodian

Spend Bob’s money challenge

To support the final push to our $46 million goal, Bob Williams has stepped up and issued a matching gift challenge to the community at large.

Bob will match all donations received, up to $300,000!!

Any donation amount is appreciated.

Please help us to “Spend Bob’s Money!”

getting the keys to a brand new museum
THE MUSEUM IS OURS!

After decades of dreaming, planning, and building, on August 4, 2021, we received the keys to our beautiful new museum.

Here is a gallery of photos taken that morning.

On this day, the museum floor was new, clean, and bare; the last time that this will ever be the case. Only moments later, the first wave of aircraft began arriving and filling up its space.
