The Shiba Inu ecosystem team has revealed the major benefit of having the ShibArmy by its side.

No matter how solid a crypto project claims to be, it has a slim chance of gaining immense popularity in the market without the support of an active community.

The team behind the Shiba Inu ecosystem recognizes this fact and has continued to heap praises on its community members. In a tweet yesterday, the team highlighted the importance of the SHIB community.

According to the tweet, Shiba Inu revealed that the true strength of the canine-themed token stems from having the community by its side.

Interestingly, it attached a quote to the tweet, which reads: “In the world of our ecosystem, the visionary ones don’t just watch history, they make it.” 

The quote emphasizes the significance of active community engagement in the Shiba Inu ecosystem.

Shiba Inu Lead Dedicates Award to ShibArmy

It bears mentioning that the team has been acknowledging the unending support of the Shiba Inu community in recent times.

Last year, the pseudonymous lead developer behind Shiba Inu, who was listed among the top “50 Most Influential People” in crypto, dedicated the award to the community for being the linchpin holding the cryptocurrency ecosystem.

Community Role in Driving Shiba Inu Popularity

It is common knowledge that Shiba Inu has become one of the most popular crypto projects in the world. The canine-themed cryptocurrency did not attain this status based on its tokenomics or technology but due to having an active community behind it. 

Launched in August 2020, Shiba Inu quickly attracted a massive following across various social media platforms, including X (formerly Twitter) and Reddit. Interestingly, early ShibArmies reaped the reward of their unending support for the project as SHIB price rallied tremendously the following year, 2021.

This contributed to bolstering the number of Shiba Inu community members as they spread across every nook and cranny of the social media space. 

Dubbed the ShibArmy, members of the community have helped to put the cryptocurrency in the spotlight. This is mainly done on the X platform and Reddit, with members creating a buzz around Shiba Inu and putting cryptocurrency at the forefront of crypto-related discussions.

Based on these efforts, the community has succeeded in luring new investors into purchasing Shiba Inu ecosystem tokens and bolstering cryptocurrency support across various platforms. 

Yesterday, leading crypto exchange Gate.Io enabled support for Shiba Inu’s Layer-2 blockchain Shibarium, allowing users to buy BONE tokens on the exchange and move them to Shibarium-powered addresses. 

Other contributions of the ShibArmy include:

  • Defending Shiba Inu against FUDs (Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt).
  • Shaping public perception.
  • Engaging in ongoing SHIB burn initiative.
  • Protecting unsuspecting investors from scams.
