As the League of Legends World Championship draws ever-closer, and we reach the end of the boot camp phase leading up to it, there is still plenty of spice to be had on the EU West server. If anyone told you that Heo ‘ShowMaker’ Su would be bodied by a Teemo player during the boot camp, you’d rightfully call them crazy. Well, as it turns out, this exact scenario took place last night.
ShowMaker found himself in an absolutely stacked team, filled with EU pros Nihat ‘Innaxe’ Aliev, Dimitar ‘LeBron’ Kostadinov, Finn ‘Finn’ Wiestål, and Henk ‘Advienne’ Reijenga – a real example of why we love the boot camp period. However, despite having some of Europe’s finest by his side, ShowMaker and his soloq comrades couldn’t overcome the sub-three-foot yordle, which was piloted by ‘mcLoL__’, aka, ‘easymoneysniper1’. The worst part? mcLoL__ is actually a jungler by trade.
For those familiar with the tale of Lee ‘Faker’ Sang-hyeok being solo bolo’d by a Gold IV Brand back in 2016, mcLoL__’s feat offers up similar vibes. The player solo-killed ShowMaker within the first few minutes of the game, and began his reign of tiny terror from there.
At the end of the game, ShowMaker was clearly experiencing a level of despair only EU soloq can provide. After GG’ing, the DWG KIA man apologises to his team for being unable to beat his pint-sized nemesis. “I am trash,” he writes, following it up with another defeated: “I am just garbage.”
ShowMaker has had a bit of a rough time while boot camping in Europe. Let’s hope the region hasn’t broken his spirit completely before he takes to the rift in DWG KIA’s first LoL Worlds game against Rogue on October 12.
