SITE 2023 and K-12 Online Learning
So yesterday was the first day of the annual conference of the Society for Information Technology and Teacher Education. As reminder that the organization does have a special interest group focused on K-12 distance, online, and blended learning (and they also sponsor the Journal of Online Learning Research). Normally I would be in attendance at this conference, but as most of my academic readers know that I just don’t attend conferences in New Orleans.
Having said that, I’m scanning the program and I notice that many of the regular folks involved in K-12 distance, online, and blended learning are not in attendance at the event. And most of the sessions that are tagged as “K-12 online learning” don’t really have anything to do with K-12 distance, online, and blended learning.
