GORD, an adventure strategy inspired by Slavik legend is coming to PC and it promises to be quite harrowing.
It’s from Covenant, a new studio founded by an ex-CD PROJEKT RED producer, and looks for all the world like a mash-up of The Witcher, Resident Evil and Sim City. It tasks you with creating a settlement, the titular GORD, and then turning it into a full-on fortress city.

That, as you might have imagined, will be harder than it sounds, because you’re not dealing with people grumbling about their electricity and the fact that there’s an open sewer running through the children’s playground. Instead, you have to fend off all manner of nasties who want to crack open your town and eat the delicious people inside.
Going by the trailer, it looks like you’ll be able to take measures to protect your people but, at some point, you’ll have no option to get your own hands dirty. There will be a number of pre-built scenarios but, personally, we’re hoping for a sandbox mode as well.
GORD will launch on PC in 2002.You can wishlist it on Steam or check out the trailer below.
