“The sale price is not disclosed, but it was sold in excess of the asking price,” Ms Hansen said.

While not unheard of, a Tassie house selling in five days bucks against the trend of longer time on market figures.

By comparison, PropTrack’s latest data shows the median time it takes to sell a house in greater Hobart is now 44 days. In regional Tasmania, that figure extends to 59 days.
