Steve Harvey Jumped on the NFT Train with Ethereum-Based Rarible

It has been recently revealed that Steve Harvey is planning to launch a non-fungible token NFT on the Ethereum-based platform Rarible. The American television host is among the latest celebrities to launch his collection as a non-fungible token on Rarible, a platform based on Ethereum.

Steve Harvey Launches NFT on Rarible

The 64-years old comedian made an announcement on Friday and claimed that the proceeds from sales will be going to the Steve and Marjorie Harvey Foundation.

There are three non-fungible tokens, a GIF with Harvey, a digital signature, and one edition that includes a tie and his autograph.

Steve Harvey sees his pivot to the non-fungible tokens as an opportunity to give back while doing the promotion of novel technology. He said:

“And what I’ve learned from doing business all over the world is that there is always something new to create and invest in. So, I’m excited about NFTs and this new opportunity to give back via the Foundation while also bringing awareness to this new technology.”

By donating the proceeds of the first NFT auction to his foundation, Steve is now going to pay it forward to the programs that will be providing benefit to the community while bringing awareness to his fans. 

In addition to this, he said:

“As a boy growing up in Cleveland, I never had the newest things, but I’ve always been interested in learning and doing better, and what I’ve learned from doing business all over the world, is that there is always something new to create and invest in. So, I’m excited about NFTs, and this new opportunity to give back via the Foundation while also bringing awareness to this new technology.”

Steve desires to shine a light on the NFTs and encourage other artists who own and create content to leverage new markets and exchanges.
