December 4: An update on the Donkey Kong Country expansion at Super Nintendo World Japan was just shared today. During a special event, it was announced that it will open in Spring 2024.
At the moment it’s been confirmed that this area of the park will include a Donkey Kong-themed roller coaster and the Power Up Bands will be a returning feature. Aside from the confirmation of new merchandise, other information was not provided other than a new “Play Wild!” slogan. We also have an official video below.

Plans for Donkey Kong at Super Nintendo World Japan were announced in September 2021. At the time, we were given a 2024 launch opening.
Super Nintendo World originally opened in 2021. Last January, the first theme park opened its doors in the United States at Universal Studios Hollywood. There are also plans to open similar parks at the Universal Epic Universe park at Universal Orlando Resort and in Singapore.
