Team Aster has become the first team from the China 2021 DPC Season 2: Upper Division to qualify for the second Major of the 2021 DPC after the 2-1 victory over Royal Never Give Up on May 11, 2021. Aster has been in terrific form in the ongoing DPC season as they have not dropped a single series so far. They are currently on top of the table with a 5-0 W-L record. Since Aster is now guaranteed a top-four finish in the league, it means that only three more Major spots are now available to claim for the other seven Chinese teams.

Team Aster qualifies for the second Major of the 2021 DPC
Aster is the third overall team to qualify for the second Major of the 2021 DPC after Team Spirit and Virtus.pro from the CIS had become the first two, courtesy of some impeccable Dota 2 performances.
However, in the Chinese region, Team Aster has proven to be the best team so far in the two seasons of the DPC. They had an impressive 6-1 W-L record in the first season as they ended in the second spot after losing the first place tiebreakers to Invictus Gaming. Their only series loss in the group stage had come against Vici Gaming.
Now in the current iteration of the 2021 DPC, Team Aster has not even been overcome once. They started their campaign by taking down the Singapore Major champions, Invictus Gaming, 2-0. No other Singapore Major contestant could come in Aster’s way as PSG.LGD lost 2-0, and Vici Gaming was defeated 2-1.
Their next series against Sparking Arrow Gaming was a cakewalk as the underdogs lost the series in less than 40 minutes. Then, Royal Never Give worked their fingers to the bone against the mighty Aster, but LaNm and his teammates were too formidable to take down.
Though Aster is yet to play Elephant and EHOME, they are mathematically guaranteed a slot in the next Major. While the series against EHOME is scheduled for May 14, 2021, Aster will be up against Elephant on May 21.
