Miami, FL, USA. 27 January, 2022 — Telli Health announced a partnership with eSIM connectivity vendor Eseye to provide embedded Universal Integrated Circuit Card (eUICC) eSIM cards for all remote patient monitoring (RPM) devices that can roam on any cellular network.

Telli Health launched an eUICC-certified medical IoT device that is approved to connect to all US cellular networks. This will allow access to quality healthcare with the press of a button for people who typically have difficulties accessing such healthcare, particularly in rural and under-served communities. Regardless of location, RPM devices will continue to maintain a seamless connection with their providers.

This aims to boost patients’ and physicians’ trust in their RPM devices and enables patients to take readings from anywhere in the world, uploading into their existing electronic health records (EHR) within seconds. Without a continuous connection, RPM devices cannot transmit readings, forcing patients and healthcare providers to utilise less convenient alternatives.

Eseye’s eUICC eSIM cards operate on all major carriers globally. By partnering with Eseye and having access to its localisation and roaming partners, Telli Health can access over 700 networks globally in 190 countries, utilising a secure, reliable connection that is central to its value proposition.

Alvaro Salgado, sales executive at Telli Health, comments, “Easy access to healthcare for everyone should always be available and I am very pleased that we have partnered with a company that is revolutionising IoT connectivity to make global IoT deployments easy, reliable, and secure.

Cellular-enabled medical devices are the future and Eseye will help us increase access to concierge-level care anywhere on the planet with effortless roaming. IoT connected medical devices come at a particularly opportune time, given our large Baby Boomer population, which traditionally can struggle with adopting new technology. You can now effortlessly have a check-in with your doctor from home with the press of a button. This is a huge improvement from the traditional healthcare model and helps keep patients out of the hospital, while reducing the cost of care.”

Nick Earle, CEO at Eseye, adds, “Healthcare devices need 100% connectivity at all times in all locations, which is not possible without an advanced, cloud-based eUICC connectivity solution. Moreover, it is critical that medical devices can localise to major networks to prevent permanent roaming issues and subsequent loss of service, as well as maintain accurate and reliable RPM readings. We are proud to support Telli Health in its mission to help healthcare providers treat patients remotely, thereby significantly minimising patients’ risks of serious, adverse health outcomes.”
