TRON Rolls Out $300 Million Fund For GamiFi Projects: Report

TRON rolls out $300 million funds to support GamiFi projects along in a collaboration with APENFT and WINKLink as we are reading more in our latest Tron news.

The Tron foundation joined forces with APENFT and WinkLink to support new GamiFi projects and with the increasing interest in blockchain gaming, TRON Rolls out a new fund dedicated to supporting these new projects. In a press release, Tron noted that the fund dubbed TRON Arcade was launched in collaboration with the leading NFT project APENFT as well as Defi project WINKLink.

TRON arcade is geared towards supporting developers to create games using a play-to-earn mechanism thus building a robust Defi content and entertainment community in the ecosystems. TRON Noted that the desire of the younger generation to escape reality into the online gaming world led to the birth of GameFi in a unique merger between Defi, NFTs, and gaming. GameFi allows players to earn rewards while playing their favorite games and leveraging on the users’ interest in various video and mobile games, platforms, and more, allow developers to launch various engaging games which keep players online at all times.

By rewarding gamers with digital assets which can be used in the real world or used to purchase in-game assets, the decentralized platforms boost a huge number of users to themselves. TRON intends to use the new fund to up the efforts in accomplishing a long-term goal of promoting the mass adoption of blockchain technology and to boost the community of users. According to the release, TRON Arcade will support different GameFi projects in the next three years as the CEO Justin Sun said:

“GameFi is going to be the next big thing that makes the DeFi, NFT, and larger crypto space easy to understand and be involved in. TRON is excited to be partnering with APENFT and WINKLink to build a robust GameFi ecosystem that is accessible to all.”

Blockchain-based gaming marked boosted in the past few months and Tron intends to bring the market to mainstream users. In the meantime, the founder doubled down on his NFT endeavors by launching a fund dubbed JUST NFT Fund with a goal to bridge the gap between blockchain and artists who want to create their own NFTs.
