Day 05 of my journey of taking $3,000 to $30,000,000 in crypto.
Currently, my 5-day crypto holdings for this challenge saw my portfolio net positive (roughly) 17%, while during the same period, the S&P 500 index fund was up +0.37%.
Here’s what I learned this week:
- I have to be careful who I choose as the “experts” I follow.
- When working with relatively small sums of crypto transfers, ETH is not my friend. Sometimes, the gas fees reduced what I wanted to send to almost a negative amount (e.g., send $2 worth of SUSHI, while the ETH gas fees were $14).
- Losing money learning is painful — but the pain is directly leading to knowledge that should compound.
- Solana (SOL) is my favorite platform (low transaction fees and fast network).
- Polka Dot (DOT) is popular with gaming companies and projects.
I know crypto doesn’t sleep; unfortunately, I do.
Enjoy your weekend, everyone 🙂
