Private equity firms Vista Investors and Reed Capital have merged to create EIM Capital, which will invest into high-potential companies across Europe.

EIM Capital claims it will bring together Reed Capital’s reputation for operational management of acquired companies and Vista Investors’ international buyout and buy-and-build expertise.

The firm will invest and partner with lower mid-market businesses across Europe to optimise value over the long-term. It’s focus industries are industrials, chemicals and discreet consumer goods and services.

It already has a portfolio of companies, which includes infrastructure providers such as piping systems for water management, urban hygiene, road analysis equipment and mechanical rubber and tire goods.

The EIM founders have a combined forty years’ experience in private equity transactions and exits.

Vista Investors managing director Luigi Chiaraviglio said, “Joining forces was the obvious way to continue delivering for investors and our portfolio companies, whilst mining our independent networks for the benefit of all parties.

“The COVID-19 pandemic and its subsequent hit on the global economy has left companies with a lack of visibility over what their future will hold.

“With EIM Capital, we have a clear focus on growing the financial and strategic value of the companies in our portfolio.”
